Ready to restore
« on: March 09, 2011, 12:45:13 PM »
Got my bike apart, frame sandblasted and painted with all other black parts too.  Sent my Tanks and fenders to Browns Plating, now ready to start buying parts and assembling my NEW 175.  Always wanted one, now I will finally get it!  Anyone else doing a 175DT?   DG

Im doing one ,going a bit different route,I bought a frame because mine was rusted out under the seat, when it gets here I will repaint it and start putting fresly cleaned and painted parts on,my trans is stuck in neutral from sitting 35years,the whole crankcase is soaking right now in mystery oil and kero.

hello  fellow bs175 owners...I am brand new on here and became the proud owner of a dt175 today, it was sitting in a bike boneyard and the guy gave the bike to me for free and it is in pretty decent condition considering the age, and how it was being stored, I am excited about doing a resto on this bike, looks like it will be alot of fun,I was totally surprised that it will be cheaper to restore this bike then the suzki 125 i am doing, so looking very fwd doing this project, any help or imput and parts sources will greatly be appreciated  thanks all    scott.
