Wiring Diagram vs Page 41
« on: January 26, 2021, 09:19:51 PM »
I am working to put wiring back together on my 200 SS. It has the front brake switch as shown on page 41 of parts catalog. I am still working to obtain parts numbers 25 and 26. First question is where does that tie in as it relates to wiring diagram? Secondly part 27 sub harness is that another wire outside of the main harness or just another reference to the main harness. If not how does it tie in. Much of the battery area , fuse wire,  etc was gone. I now have most of that . The last question is from page 50. What is wire #10 and how does it tie in. I am following most of the wiring diagram  but , wiring is not my strength. Thanks in advance.”

Scott, if you go into my gallery there are some pictures of original wiring on my 200. Not sure they can help but if you need more pictures I can upload pictures of the places on my bike if you'd like?

I looked at your pictures. I am trying to tie them back to the wire listed as 8831-8000. Your photos brought up a new question. What wires tie into the 3 terminals in the middle of the rectifier. Is that an extra tie in for something extra or what are they for. I am not seeing anything on those in the wiring diagram I have . Thanks

Sorry I see my own mistake there . I am trying to do too much . I see what ties to those posts. I guess my major question is just trying to make sure what the first wire I asked about is?

My guess is that it is the wire that connects the black (-) terminal of the rectifier, the center bolt of the rectifier at the frame to provide a frame ground, and the negative terminal of the battery.

Also check out the 175 color wiring diagram in the downloads section.
