Hi Bill,

I have fitted a Dynatek ignition to a BS 175 engine that I plan to run total loss. Can you confirm the wiring in attached is Ok, or, do I need any resistors or other items ?

Thanks .. ray

Ray I believe "Old Swarthog" has answered your but question but in case you were still unsure, your wiring is correct. I believe "Old SwartHog" has also mentioned that you need need to have 3 ohms resistance including the coil resistance in the circuit and that is normally a resistor between +12volt and the coils.
Hope this helps.

The statement was "Dyna requires 3 Ohm or higher resistance coils.  The BS350 coils are roughly 5 Ohms, so they should be fine."  Just to be clear, the 5 ohm coils are OK without any added resistance, although some added resistance would cut down on coil heat and current draw if the spark wasn't adversely affected.

That's a nice clean conversion on your Bridgestone, billdok.

Hi Guys,

I wired the FTR project up as suggested and all went well. It fired up and runs fine. The 350 coils I fitted ran cool while being tested.

Added a few final photos of the project.

Thanks for the support ... ray
