new guy - racer
« on: February 22, 2018, 10:39:41 AM »
Another geezer here who enjoys messing with bikes that were new when I was young!  I am new not only to Bridgestones, but to 2-strokes completely, being an old Triumph guy currently engaged mostly with small Honda 4Ts.  I do not own a complete Bridgestone motorcycle, nor am I likely to:  my focus is road racing, and although I admit that I have stripped at least one very nice, complete Honda CB160 to "racerize" it, I do feel that's a shame.  I am currently gathering parts to build a BS50 Sport racer, with so far a 60 Surfrider frame and a couple of mostly-complete  ;) 60 engines (one from a Chibi).  Besides tuning advice, my questions are likely to center on parts compatibility (like putting a BS50 transmission into the Chibi engine).  But there are no doubt many members of this forum who know much better than I do what I should be asking!    cheers, Jack

Welcome to the Bridgestone site!
Sounds like you might try some new combinations with the Bridgestones - have fun blazing a new trail and we love to see photos of progress.
