Title: 175 DT gear dots Please see the pictures
Post by: edward on June 14, 2014, 11:57:31 PM
Does anyone know if this is the correct configuration of these dots on the gears? (Please see the pictures.) I cannot see a clear picture in the manual.
The piston nearest to the gears is in the down position. The dot on the crankshaft is dead in the middle of one on the fly wheel (not dotted) and intermediate gear between the flywheel and the magneto has two dots which match up with the dot on the magneto and the other in the middle of one on the fly wheel (also not dotted).
   Any and all help appreciated!

There are normally dots on the clutch hub, usually difficult to see, but if yours doesn't have them for whatever reason, it does look to me like you've got the proper alignment.

There will be two dots, line one up with each mating gear.
