BS 90 Upper bridge bolt
« on: January 15, 2010, 11:42:11 PM »
Parts Manual states a different number for the 90 than the 100 and the 60 #4124-5000 vs. -8000 and -3000

I may be off on the actual numbers, but does anyone know if they would be still interchangable, or if anything off any other bikes front forks would fit.  I have access to several honda trails and yamaha yg1s that have a similar fork tube diameter.  I will probably go check this out before I get a reply, but I would still like some input.  I would hate to have to buy a whole set of forks off Epay just to get 1 measely bolt.  The PO just used a metric bolt and it is driving me nuts.

Hi,

I discovered many years ago that the fork top bolts used on early Suzuki 50s and 80s (the Mark 1 M12/M15 and K10/K11) are identical to the ones on the BS50, BS60 and BS90. I can't find the appropriate Suzuki part number, but I'm sure there must be an early Suzuki man out there who could help.

The later Mark 2 Suzuki 50s and 80s (the ones withthe teardrop tanks), the AS50, and the T125 use a similar bolt with the same length and thread size but with a larger sized head - these may be useable on the BS50 Sport and BS90 if you're not going for originality.

Cheers,

Graham
