bs 100 sport engine seized

Hello everyone I picked up a bs 100 sport with I seized engine  . Otherwise the bike is in good shape. The cylinder and piston are both damaged . What are my options for getting this thing running again?

Probably best first step is to free the piston. That will allow you to remove the cylinder and perhaps salvage the bottom end. Soaking is the best first step. There are several posts on here about this with ideas about various penetrants to soak the stuckness with. I have used several things, but lately per skinny's recommendation I used a mixture of Marvel Mystery oil and acetone (10 - 20%). There are also thoughts about using a tool to pull the cylinder off the piston.

Thank you for the help slawsonb. I got the cylinder and piston off and both are scarred . The scarring on the cylinder is mostly below the ports. What are my options here? Are pistons and cylinders available? Here are a couple pictures.

Hey James,  the piston is probably available from Richard site owner.  Click on parts heading at the top of the home page.  The cylinder can be replated.  There are several places that do plating.  This link is for Millennium Technologies in Wisconsin.  Hope this helps!  Steve

Hi James, US Chrome in Wisconsin can repair your cylinder for about 200 bucks and like mqtsteve said Richard should have a piston and rings for you.

Hey 63galaxie. (You must be a Ford guy. I'm into Impalas, but I love the 60's full size sleds.)
Anyway, I digress. Glad to see you conquered the stuckness. Always a good feeling when the sliding finally happens.
I have used Milennium and had very good results on very damaged cylinders. Yours does not look too bad other than scoring. Might only require honing and replating depending on the depth of the scores (if too deep they need to be welded).
