200 Scrambler clutch question
« on: August 12, 2015, 12:50:52 PM »
New to posting so thanks in advance for any help.
Trying to get this 1970's ish 200 to move.  Starts and runs perfectly.   Replaced the clutch cable but when I put it in gear it is obvious the clutch is not engaging.   Could this be
adjustment issues or more likely friction plates.   Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Most likely adjustment issues; follow the manual's procedure through from start to finish and it should work.  It is likely that the adjustment screw in the side cover needs to be backed out, but there could be other problems with cable adjustment.
