early BS90 parts WANTED
« on: December 20, 2016, 09:13:07 PM »
I am restoring another early BS90. early tank. 1964? not oil injection. i have bought what could from ebay. now I just needs parts from parts bikes.
maybe you have some of this lying around?

the bike was a complete runner (fired with some coaxing), but after disassembly I have a couple parts that have metal loss(chrome has flaked, and there are heavy craters in the surface metal)  beyond what I can easily resolve. i've blasted and hit the parts with the DA, and I know that these parts are going to be sore thumbs after restoration.. I just need candidates that are reasonable for re-chrome/powdercoat.

1. gas cap for early tank. mine is heavily rotted inside. not sure what other caps (50/60?) fit early 90 tank? bad chrome and scratches aren't a big deal. just need solid.

2.  left side engine cover(dry -side magneto side cover). 2151-5020/2151-5030 or EA1-21411/EA13-214111
my cover is cracked. I need a cover that is solid. scratches are ok. but heavy damage is not.

3. stock 3/4" bars. my bars are straight, but their is metal loss and heavy pitting that cant be re-chromed.

4. heel toe shifter 2581-3000- EA1-24311. just need solid with no metal loss. not worried about chrome.

5. kicker assy 2680-4000 - EA1-2520  just need solid with no metal loss  not worried about chrome.

6. chrome frame downtube 1331-5000 EA1-31320 just need solid with no metal loss  not worried about chrome.

7. front fender. flaking/bad chrome is ok. pitting in the underlying metal is not good.

8. front fender mount. flaking/bad chrome is ok. pitting in the underlying metal is not good.

9. rear rubber mudguard. need one in nice shape (3 holes)

not looking to spend a lot of money, looking for usable parts that arent rotted out.
