Keys
« on: June 13, 2010, 12:16:23 PM »
I have no keys  :o

Does anyone have key blanks for these and / or know the key blank part number? There is a 3 digit number on the ignition switch and I assume that is the key code for that tumbler. The ignition switch looks like it takes a one sided key (tumblers on only one side).

If you have a key for yours is there a key blank number or letter code? Or a key manufacture name?

Thanks!

Tomo

Tomo

First welcome to the BS site and the world of Bridgestone

1) Keys for ignition, I have most precut in stock, just email me the three number off face of switch, use my personal email: bsparts@aye.net

2)  Use the numbers off the metal tag as VIN numbers for titles.

3)  350 Pistons and rings are available and cheap, I have them 100$ for all necessary for one engine, but the cylinders are hard to find and
very expensive, do not damage them, tear up the pistons but not the cylinders.  BTW: Rods are hard to find too, so do not bend or damage the rod
bu "pulling" to hard, I would let the cylinders soak for a long time before I use force.

Hope this helps

Thanks Richard!

I will get you the key number.

I haven't used much force yet on the stuck pistons, just rocking the back wheel back and forth by hand. The more I mess with it the more I think that the right side is loose and the left side is stuck.

The left cylinder already has two "cancer" spots that I can see. If that piston is stuck in there I can't believe that the rest of the chrome bore is much better. I'll have to do something with that side anyway, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I like the "let it soak" idea, it's easy and I have plenty of time. It has been soaking for about two days with PB Blaster but I have some really good GM rust penetrant at the shop that pretty much puts everything else to shame. (Imagine that... GM can make good rust penetrant  ;D). I'll shoot some of that in there and let it sit.
