gday guys
I know ive got to lash out and buy some new crank bearings .ive got three straight cranks with bad bearings and one bent crank with good bearings(near new condition) has anyone ever been able to re use crank bearings for a rebuild or do they get destroyed when pulling them apart ?

As Karl said, if you could get a good pull from the inner race, with out side loading the bearing, then there is no reason it wouldn’t be possible.

Half moon pullers are great for this, I have a cheap flea bay kit, but they they are quite thick to compensate for the cheapness of the steel used. The high quality ones we have at work are very thin to allow installation into those tight areas.

            Even the half moon type pullers exert the pull on the outer race but that's ok as long as you dont have to use a hammer to get the bearings moving on the shaft. It's hammering that will dent the races and drastically shorten the life of the bearing.
        Clean the shaft, maybe a light rub with very fine wet or dry paper and oil the shaft before pulling.
I've pulled the outer crank bearings before now to replace the crank seals and reused them without any problems.
