Coxy, that's a cool old bike. I like the belt drive with the rear pulley doubling as a friction brake. I didn't realize Australia made so many different brands. What kind of performance does it get? Is Regnis a family name or just the reverse of singer for some reason?

its the reverse of singer i think .he had it up to aprox 70 mph with plenty to spare sounds awesome and pretty fast for a bike of near 100 years old .
the throttle is a little lever on the handle bar and check out the suicide shift you could really damage a certain part of your anatomy .i have a photo somewhere of my grandfather sitting on his waratah   a bike of around the same period and the only other that i know exists belongs to Wayne Gardner ex #1 GP legend .i would love to own something like this

70 seems pretty fast considering the ratio of that rear pulley!   you could probably gear it down to go much faster. The handle with the 7 slotted positions, is that the belt tensioner? I would very much love to have somethin like this bike, myself

i think so he paid around 10k around 10 years ago i think it would fetch a pretty penny after resto now.
maybe that's 70kms
