Coxy, that's a cool old bike. I like the belt drive with the rear pulley doubling as a friction brake. I didn't realize Australia made so many different brands. What kind of performance does it get? Is Regnis a family name or just the reverse of singer for some reason?

its the reverse of singer i think .he had it up to aprox 70 mph with plenty to spare sounds awesome and pretty fast for a bike of near 100 years old .
the throttle is a little lever on the handle bar and check out the suicide shift you could really damage a certain part of your anatomy .i have a photo somewhere of my grandfather sitting on his waratah   a bike of around the same period and the only other that i know exists belongs to Wayne Gardner ex #1 GP legend .i would love to own something like this

70 seems pretty fast considering the ratio of that rear pulley! :o  you could probably gear it down to go much faster. The handle with the 7 slotted positions, is that the belt tensioner? I would very much love to have somethin like this bike, myself :) :)
