A small victory
« on: August 08, 2016, 10:19:37 AM »
I am happy to announce that my '68 GTR won the vintage import class at the second annual Ragersville "Little Sturgis" Bike Show.  My GTR sports its original paint and chrome in very good condition and managed to beat out the usual collection of Hondas, Kawasakis and so on.  She was beat out for overall import by a Hayabusa in a decision that I consider to be totally without regard for truth and beauty. I would post pics, but since my forced (ahem) upgrade to windows 10 I have been unable to upload any pictures. Anyhow, chalk up another, albeit small victory for our side.

Congrats! Unfortunately, truth and beauty are often corrupted.

You can't beat a Bridgestone for beauty.

                  Well done DL  8)

Good to know the old BS has still got what it takes ........... but we are all biased  ;D .   I still remember thinking  -  'Wow, best looking bike I've ever seen', when viewed from certain angles and it still is.

Unspoiled by progress.
I'm so glad I grew up in the 60s & 70s. I did so much stupid stuff and there's no record of it.............Anywhere !!

Congrats DL, the GTRs are racking up the trophies! I won best stock motorcycle at Newcastle's Labor Day car show and best motorcycle at Vermilion's Ribs Rods and Rock & Roll show yesterday. Putting my GTR in the West Point, NE  Last Fling Till Spring show this coming Sunday. There will be over 700 total entries at that show. These things at real attention getters and I am having a blast with this bike............Rod
