Seen It All Now!

A Bridgestone/Honda 90 ATC.   I wonder what the back story is on these things?

The "Bridgestone" on the front fender is molded in, so like Bert said, this is probably a somewhat limited edition promotional bike.

Bridgestone & Honda must have "kissed & made up" after the "we won't buy tires if you still make cycles" bruhaha.....   :o

If  the  BS is molded in the fender, could it be an accessory  fender? Like the Preston Petty brand back  in  1970s  and 80s.  I don't  remember  Honda  having special editions of  models that featured or promoted  accessories or brands like, Castrol, champion, kerker, Goodyear, etc

I also posted this on a 3 Wheeler site to see what kind of response & info it might generate.

While there have been no definitive "ah-ha" replies, here are a couple theories...

1- "this is some sort of promotion, possibly one of a kind. the logo is clearly part of the fender and clearly integrated into the decal as the o.p. suggests. beware those that might attempt to devalue something simply because its not in the back of their truck instead of yours."

2- "I would make an offer on it.

I'll bet it was a promo ATC or maybe a contest prize sponsored by Bridgestone.

The Bridgestone logo looks like it's molded into the front fender."

I don't think American Honda would  sanction or approve ,The Bridgestone sticker / label on the engine. Could this be a dealer "dress up" ?

Is this still for sale? Ad is still up! How has nobody picked this up yet??? Geez, for two hundred bucks I'd be all over that if it was within driving distance.

Paul, I agree, I suspect it's some individual's creation.  Has anyone seen the "Bridgestone" name split into two lines on anything authentic?  I can't say for sure, but that especially looks unlikely.

If it was some "individual's creation", they sure went to a lot of effort creating a new front fender with the Bridgestone logo molded into it, as well as having the logo "branded" onto both the front & rear mud flaps and having a new rear decal made with the logo also incorporated into it.

I think this is an example of a "branded" ATC 90 . This was actually a popular thing to do back in the 70's. Anyone remember the "Levi's" AMC Gremlin?  :o

Yes,  I remember the  Levi Gremlin . But AMC was the # 4  US  carmaker, trying hard  to get attention. Honda was known

From Google, this style bodywork used 1975-78 on the Honda ATC90. (Just look for the round headlight).  None of the pictures I found showed the BS logos, so I think the seller is right with this being a special BS edition at the end of the 90 production. They switched to 70 and 110 engines after 1978.
Another piece of BS history worth having by any BS fan at that price.
Unspoiled by progress.
I'm so glad I grew up in the 60s & 70s. I did so much stupid stuff and there's no record of it.............Anywhere !!

It would have been a Bridgestone tire promo, not a Bridgestone motorcycle promo.  Personally, I don't get too excited about a Bridestone tire promo.

+ 1 more on the tire theory.  By the time of the three wheeler, I think BS was out of the cycle business.

What's the engine serial number?  Does it follow the usual  Honda pattern, whatever that is? Since the ATC  was an American Honda idea, could these pieces be prototypes? We need flexible, unbreakable fenders /' body  parts . Call Bridgestone.
