Thanks Moonpup.... Always cool to see Neat vintage B'stone stuff.
Last year there was a sign person who had a nice newly made B'stone sign for sale at a reasonable price.
It was patterned after the yellow/red patterned logo like the patches Richard Clark hs on eBay right now.
This is Oldbikeguy... did you get message I sent you a couple of days ago?
I have several Bridgesones ( most not restored yet).
I am recently retired, & live in Washington State, but my wife & I will be moving back to Ft. Worth, Tx area in early 2015. Looks like you live in Harlingen area... Perhaps we can get together & talk Bridgestones someday.
Thanks for your time...
Dale

Thanks for the photo of the 175DT wiring poster, I just paint shopped that and created a nice little A3 poster of my own which is gonna be handy when I rewire/rebuild my 175.

Colin, was not aware you had scored a 175. If you posted about it, I missed. Congrats. Please either share some details or point me at the thread if you already have.

Hi Bert,
I have had the 175Dt for a couple of years now , it's just sitting there waiting on me but other things have taken priority.
However I have been quietly buying up nos parts for the bike in the event I find the time to look at it, not sure I will do a show finish on the bike as the value over here is not great.
I do need a new throttle cable for the bike and have been hoping an nos part would turn up on fleabay but it never has that I'm aware of.
I think I have managed to attach a photo  :-\
Colin.

He's wearing red and yellow helmet. Red front fender. I wonder if this poster celebrates another BS victory?

Hi, Moonpup,

The Japanese characters below the picture translate as "BRIDGESTONE MOTORCYCLES / MOTOCROSS ?????? RACER"  The Chinese characters are, I'm afraid, beyond me - maybe one for Kotaro-san? Looking at the engine, it looks like a 90 cylinder head on it (shallower finning than the 100), so I would assume it's a factory race team BS90SR. The front hub seems to confirm that it was a bit special - and I'm not convinced that it has BS90 forks on it either.

Carburetor cover and plumbing for the air cleaner don't look like anything I've seen

I thought I had seen this poster before. It's on the wall in photos of Bill Smiths dealership in Great Britain.

There are 2 of this same poster in this vintage picture of his dealership..... ( well, not exactly the same. Looks like he got the english version.  ;D )

These two English versions appear to have some words in the upper right hand corner of the poster that the Japan version does not. Now I 'm curious about the poster to the left of one of the motocross poster. Looks like a 90 road racer.

I've zoomed in on the Bill Smith photo and the bit in the top left corner of the poster looks to me like the "Jet Lube" arrows emblem. That would make sense as Jet Lube was a new feature in 1967/68 which would probably be when the photo was taken

I wish I had such a collection of posters now. It makes you weep to think they probably ended up in the rubbish bin soon afterwards.

I think it looks like the jet lube logo also. It looks like the jet lube logo on the GTR poster. I wonder if this motor crosser had jet lube? I think I remember some of the other Japanese manufactures using a oil injection on their production racers. Kawasaki's 250 twin cylinder production road racer, maybe?

Thanks for sharing these brochures. Looks like "red front fender" bike from the poster is leading the three bikes on this color brochure.
