Bridgestone 175/200 Luggage Rack
« on: January 08, 2018, 09:28:21 AM »
Hi Folks,

So I bought my first Bridgestone on New Years day and I have been trying to read as much as possible about them. My good friend from college and forum member, hgzumanity had a couple of Bridgestones a few years ago in Kansas. His Hurricane Scrambler had a really nice luggage rack (as seen in the picture). Is this a dealer optioned rack? are they out there? I'd love to find one for my 175 DT.

I found it for you, cuz. Turns out its a Yamaha rack. You would just have to make the brackets that go from the turn signal mounts to the license plate bracket.

I used a Yamaha rack on my 350 for years, rear support was by 2 pieces of electrical conduit, ends flattened and hose clamped to the rear frame loop. Even mounted a small trunk on it.   I finally took it off and switched to a small magnetic tank bag. The bag is good for spare plugs, water bottles, hat, etc.

I think this Yamaha luggage rack looks really good. it compliments the lines of the bike well too. hgzumanity and I talked about it on the phone last night. two chrome tubes flattened on each end with a hole drilled through would make good rear mounts.
