Like most things, some are in it for the money and others are in it for more spiritual reasons. One side "corporate" one side "purist".

Just adding this link I posted in another thread to this one so that we can have some examples documented concerning the pricing of various 350's around the world.

This 350 GTR is currently available "down under" for $11,750

Don't want to duplicate photos, so here's a link to the other thread that has a pic of this bike....

Classic Bikes Direct are having an open day this Saturday for the Melbourne VJMC group , I am planning to  attend ,They did the same thing last year & it was a good day out.
Might be a good little ride on my BS 90 .

Nearly $18,900?? Totally nuts, IMHO. That's '73 Kawasaki 900 Z-1 territory, price wise. I don't think at this time a GTR/GTO is worth anywhere near that kind of dough. But if someone is crazy/stupid enough to pay that, more power to them.

There have been two really good survivors on eBay this year. One a GTO the other a GTR. Both sold in the sub $6000's. Not sure if a resto would bring more or less.  ???

Every bike that hasn't been restored is a "survivor". Just depends on how well it's survived!  ;D

The "survivor" thing has been generating some big bucks in the automotive scene recently. For some reason if you slap the "barn find" or "survivor" moniker on a vehicle, the sheep will shell out the bigger bucks.

IMHO, I think it's just a fad/phase that will peter out eventually.  ::)

I agree. For the two I'm describing the better term would be "excellent original condition". Sorry for getting all new milenium.

Bet he'd sell you that one for $17000!
Seriously, I believe Richard has them or ones very similar.

Yes I got one free with my first order over two years ago, I mistakenly let it go when I sold the GTR last year. :(

Here's another $10K+ Bridgestone 350 for sale. This time it's a GTO located "down under" with an asking price of $12,000.

Nice original bike......

Interesting, that is my old GTO up for sale again. It has made the rounds quite a bit in the last year or so.

Probably should not have sold it Steve. Just too many bikes and GTO's are my least favorite. At least some people are having fun with it.

Maybe this time it'll end up in the hands of a true enthusiast who finds it their most favorite.  ;)
