BRIDGESTONE TANK BADGES.
« on: March 26, 2012, 10:41:30 PM »
I have been experimenting with some Bridgestone tank badges.
On my red painted tank i want to see how a badge will look.
And see if it will work with the look of the motorcycle etc.
This is the first badge, i have just stuck it on with some tape.
For now.
Thanks.
Steve.
PS let me know what you think.

I have to say that looks kind of out of place to me.
Have you stuck it on the side of a chrome tank?

Steve,

I think the 71 stripes would look better than the emblem.... that is, if you just had to put something there.

On all the motorcycles i have own they have there name on the side of the tank.
And i just want to see if a badge will work even if i have one made.
Just thinking out side the box.
Thanks.

I'm still thinking a decal (or custom paint job) of some kind would work better than any of the emblems I've seen. Of course that doesn't mean I've seen them all yet and there may be one out there that I'd like.

A decal could be made using some form or combination of these I've seen on ebay recently. (maybe just "Bridgestone" without the scary monster!  :o )

I like just the scary monster by itself!! When you know what it means then that's all you need!

Steve,
This is one man's opinion. I wouldn't say I dislike it or really like it.
Kind of neutral.
I'm thinking about a little copyright infringement for my gas tank.
Looks something like the image pasted here.
Actually, now that I see the red of the scorpion - that might look good on a candy apple green finish...

Steve,

The Welsh flag could look really great.  I think if it was subdued (shadow like) it would look the best.  My two cents.

Steve....

I guess it's either the "Bridgestone Scary Monster" or the "Welsh Scary Monster".  That's gonna be a tough decision!  ;D

I think the emblem could look good with maybe some black striping to outline the original chrome panel edges. It looks a little lonely sittin there by itself.

Black on one side and red on the other possibly. Best of both worlds?

I think the red badge brings out the 60ish look. Bridgestone spelled out, like the 50cc race bikes might look okay. What about a black horizontal stripe?
