New member from Allentown, PA
« on: September 19, 2015, 08:34:47 PM »
Hello. I'm Eddie from Allentown, PA and I just purchased 2 Bridgestone motorcycles.

The first one is a:

Bridgestone 90 Sport
Rockford Scooter Co.
Model BS-90/SP(01)
Ser 18B000185
Mot 18B000216

The other one is a:

Bridgestone 50
Rockfor Scooter Co.
Model BS-HM/S
Ser 7T035338
Mot 7A035918

I am trying to find out what years they are and also where to get parts and service manuals for them.   Hope you don't mind a lot of questions!

Eddie

Hi,
Copies of service manuals are available for copy on this site. Richard the site owner sells parts for most of the models. He should be able to help you.
Good luck with your restorations.

Your 90 was built in February 1966 and is a very low production number for that model. Nice find.

Mind if I ask where you got it?

Im in Coatesville PA - not too far away from you.

Nice find. I have a 90 sport and a 350 GTO here in Souderton PA. The 90 is an easy bike to work on and Richard probably has everything you need to get it running.

DCR,

I purchased them together here in Allentown.  There is an auction here on Sunday with a 1965 Honda 90 Sport that is pretty close to the one I just bought.  Here is the link:   www.wagnerauctiuoneers.com
If you look under Germansville, PA. it is listed there.  I'm quickly becoming addicted to them!

Was very tempted to go and buy that S90. Looked to be in decent shape from the pics. If I didn't already have a 1964 S90, and if I had a place to stash another bike, I would have been there!

It went for $995.00.  Sound like a good price for it? Here's a pic of where I'm at with the 90 as of now.

Sounds like a very good price for it! Your bridgestone 90 is a cool bike and actually pretty quick for such a small bike. Keep us posted on the progress!

I'm going to look at this Bridgestone.  Think $250 is too much for the shape it is in?

Thank you!

Eddie

Rust? Cost of rims, tank restoration?  Condition of other side?

Let me know how it goes. I talked to this guy on the phone last week. Unfortunately, the title is in someone elses name that he doesnt know so getting it transferred is a chore.

The current owner paid over $100 for a "new" seat on eBay but its a HS seat, not a DT seat. Rims are shot, engine is seized, it's heavily rusted and the exhaust is trashed.

He sent more pics and the more I get the worse it looks.  Think I'll pass.

Of the 2 ads he had in CL, the one dedicated to just the BS has been deleted and the other that has multiple bikes has been edited with a SOLD next to the 175.

Someone didn't pass.....
