Being a regular visitor of the FSU, I'm not in the least surprised. Driving standards- and not just those of motorcyclists- in the FSU are appalling, though one suspects that excessive consumption of firewater plays a considerable part in at least some of these accidents. If nothing else, all this does improve the FSU gene pool slightly. Papa Putin's recent decision NOT to increase the price of Vodka will no doubt be of great assistance in this endeavour.
