200SS MK11 Engine Covers

Hi,does anyone know what the original finish was on the engine covers on a BS200SS Chequer?.It the outer carb covers are polished,but the clutch cover,sprocket cover and oil pump housing look like they've been painted.
Any help would be much appriciated

mine appear to have been painted, but I polished mine and they look good

Hi,

Bridgestone never polished their engine side covers, they were all painted metallic silver. Only the carb covers were plished
, and the points cover on the singles was chrome plated to provide a little glitter.

Thanks for the replies chaps.I think I'll go painted just for originalities sake.The next job is to find somebody to rebuild the crank,I usually use Grampian in Liverpool but I'm not too sure they'll have come across my bike before,we'll see
