Mystery Part from 175 Dual Twin

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone can identify the part in the attached images.  The best way to describe it is a small slotted metal tube.  When I removed the carb cover from either the right or left crankcase cover (can't remember which side), I found this laying near the rubber drain pipe which has the little screen/filter at the bottom of the crank case covers.  I've looked in the parts manual and can't really tell where it would have come from.   Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

look like one of the two centering pin for the rotary valve cover, Page 6 number 14 " 3x10 dowel" in the parts catalogue, but I just realize that yours is a piece of steel roled, don't know if it was like this on older models. if it's 6mmx10mm it can be a centering pin for the case page 14 number 12

I found out that it is a stop pin for the oil pump throttle...it's shown in the drawing in the parts manual but it is not specifically called out and identified by it's own part number.
