new (to me) steed
« on: March 28, 2012, 09:10:02 PM »
It's not a Bridgestone, but it does have a dry clutch. Does that count?
As of this morning, this bike now calls my garage "home".
It certainly helps to have an Italian wife!
I haven't done the "ton" on it yet, but it's been quite close.

I'll be spending money to get a clutch cover that actually covers more. It doesn't take a very long shoe string to reach the spinning clutch.
We had some snowflakes in the air today, but it was still 37-40 degrees out.
The GTR will run again someday and stand proudly next to this newcomer.

I see Smokey. Poor GTR and after all you've gone through together. tsk tsk. I'm gonna have a nice glass of ice cold tea....with lemon.

Congratulations! Something about that Ducati sound. A shame that BS didn't take the Ducati path to survival. Small production runs and a niche market.

I am spending more time scanning the tree lines near the road for movement of animals versus enjoying the ride, but that should balance out soon.

Scrambler! That's cool. I'd love to get hold of an old Falcone 500 or a GTW. Smokey, it's understandable what you're goin through after your incident. Proud of ya for continuing to ride! Thumbs up. ;)

Scrambler, bring the Guzzi down to Road America!
That doesn't mean I'll race ya, but it would be fun.
And I suppose you don't have an expensive valve train adjustment due at 7500 miles?
And I know there have been at least 2 deer collisions with vehicles on the Road America track.
