Battery for a 1967 Bridgestone 175 twin
« on: September 24, 2012, 03:36:53 PM »
I bought a 1967 Bridgestone 175 twin 2-stroke has the low pipes. This Bridgestone did not have a battery and just wondering where is the best place to get a new battery ? Not for sure if the Bridgestone has the 6 or 12 volt system. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

It's 12 volt. Check out a motorcycle dealer. I don't have the battery info handy but one that will fit should work. Wife's callin, I'll post it later unless someone already has. Richard may have batteries.

Hey Amsoil, in case you didn't know you can download a manual under manuals/articles :)

From a previous threas:

The battery for the 175/200/350 and BS-7 electric start is a 12N5.5-4B. It measures 5 5/16 X 2 13/32 X 5
3/16 with the positive lug opposite the drain line.

Richard Clark had stock of the original batteries. Give him a call at 812-944-1643 8am -6pm EST Only Weekdays or e-mail
at bsparts@aye.net.

If you try to buy it from a dealer or battery supplier, you'll find it isn't available. Use a 12N5.5-3B instead. It is the same size, but has
the drain tube on the wrong end, which really won't hurt anything. Be careful and do not get a 12N5.5A-3B, it's not the same.

Welcome Lucymiller. Good to hear from a female rider. Do you own a 250 or 650? Also do you own a Bridgestone?
