New Mbr in Ashburn, VA with 1967 60cc Sport
« on: June 01, 2016, 09:24:11 AM »
Hey there!  I received a 1967 Bridgestone 60cc Sport from my dad for Christmas 1979!  It was used the first 3-4 years and then has been in storage since then.  I have a friend, Paul, that is helping me to get it running again.  I am so excited to see my Dad's face when he comes this summer and sees it running!  We will be reaching out to the members of this group for how to's as well as suggestions on obtaining parts.  I'd broken the kick start when I'd first gotten it and my Dad had it welded a couple of times so I know that must be replaced and there had been an attempt to get it running which may have resulted in additional parts being misplaced.  So looking forward to driving it around!

Randy,
Sorry for the looooooonng time away. I'd delivered the motorcycle to a friend to have them work on it...no progress!

After the marriage of our son, the college graduation of our daughter, the 25th anniversary trip of my wife and I, I'm now back to get my motorcycle running.

Going to be working to get the parts to get it running now, hopefully by the end of the summer!

Do you know whether or not the Kick Start for a 90cc would work on my 60cc Sport? Here are the eBay links:

I'm going to look here as well!

Thanks for any help!

Brian

Hey Brian,
Yes, the kickstart lever splines/diameter are the same.  The lever may have a slightly different bend?  There was a NOS one on eBay, I couldn't find it today.  Good luck! Steve

Brian,
Welcome to the Bridgestone world again. Have you tried Richard the site owner. He may well have a kicker lever. Give him a try.
Good luck, Mike
