How do you get the choke cable out!

I need help getting the choke cable out of the carb on a MKII. It would be nice to clean them up off of the bike

If you send me your carb i will put it in the ultrasonic tank and heat the water up its works very well.

After unscrewing the brass plunger cap and you find that the plunger is stuck in the carb, spray some penetrant down in there every day for a few days.  Usually the plunger will free up and you can pull it and the cable out.

I Have Had The Sam Problem Getting The Choke Cable Out After Removing The Float Boal And Blowing It Clean I Toke A Map Gas Torch And Aplied A Little Heat At The Choke Area Along With PB Blaster An It Came Lose Good Luck

The bottom of the plunger has a rubber seal, so don't get it too hot.  Of course, if  a lot of heat is the only way, the plungers can be replaced, they're standard Mikuni parts.

Thanks guys for the info. Surprisingly it runs fine with them stuck. I will try the penetrate oil method first.
