I know nothing about these things and have a chance to pick up a 1965 Bridgestone homer 65 for 125$. He says it has no spark, good compression and that's about all he knows. Any insight would be great.

I can't speak for the smaller Bridgestone's, but that sounds like a good price if it's basically all there.
Even better if it has a title. If the gas tank innards aren't too rusty, it probably wouldn't be too hard to make it run. My first guess would be oil or corrosion on the points keeping it from generating a spark at plug. Even simpler might be just a bad spark plug. Buy the bike and hang around here awhile.

I appreciate your reply, if its just nuts and bolts like anything else I should be fine. I just don't want to get into something that's notorious for electrical problems or lower end problems, seems like I should be able to find the answers to any problems at this site though. Thanks again!

Sounds like you got a good deal Mike. I'd like to have one of those. Are you a welder? I'm still welding barely able to see. You can probably do a search in the forum and find any specific help you need also manuals. If not just post your questions. Welcome to the site
