new member in Indiana with 3 Bridgestone 350 gtr models
« on: February 23, 2014, 11:50:28 PM »
Hello everyone, I picked up these 3 Bridgestone 350 gtr a couple weeks ago and just came across this site. I may be in need of help, advice, and parts.

I'm not new to bikes and I'm on a few other forums. I like to buy older bikes, especially rare ones and keep them on the streets. These Bridgestones, however, are new to me. I have known of these bikes but never owned one until now.

Each bike was missing this or that and I think I may have enough to get 2 complete runners out of them but I'll be missing a whole lot off the last one when finished with the other 2.

The plan as of now is to keep the orange "checkered" version for myself, get the red one going and sell it, and either part out the third/rest of parts or sell as is for a parts bike.

Any advice, help, or criticism is welcome!

Nice find :-)  The gold colored one is the same as mine...it is a 1971 , i should be having mine up and on the road this summer. Nice to see another '71 going to be restored. There are plenty of people on this site that are more than willing to give advice, answer questions you may have etc. Richard ( owner of this site) will be the one to contact for most things you would be needing for your resto. Good luck and keep us posted with pics ( we all love 'em on this site ) :-)    bsforever

Nice find. Welcome to the Indiana Bridgestone group and the rest of this site. I am also an Indiana member. Where in Indiana are you located? Give me a call sometime if you want to chat about Bridgestones. Contact Richard for any of the parts you need, he is great to work with. Enjoy your bikes.

Thanks Mike, I'm in Fort Wayne. From your area code it looks like you're in the Indy area... Not too far away.

Really parts is what kills the task of making 3 good running bikes out of these. Ebay has near nothing for the 350's and I really couldn't find any other place that has parts except here.

I was thinking this site would have more in the area of "classifieds" or in the for sale/wanted categories but it doesn't... I may throw my used last parts I have on here to help you guys out but it will be a couple months before I'm done. Hoping I can at least ride it this year and I'll fix it up as I go.

Things change here in the shop weekly and sometimes multiple times a week, bikes in, bikes out... I have a couple to sell and a couple of my near finished projects to finish and then off to my 350 gtr...

Here's a look at what I'm up against  ;D

Question to all of you that "specialize" in these. How much are the 3 worth in this lot I bought?? How much do you think each would bring on the current market as they sit now?

Hi Mark,

I've seen quite a lot of GTR's on craigslist over the years and it would depend on just how complete the red & gold bikes are, if they have titles or not and if they turn over.

From what I can see in your pic's, I would guestimate somewhere between $500 - $800 each for those two as they sit.

(this one sold for $800 recently)....  http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/mcy/4293840134.html
