Title: Looking for a Taka
Post by: Nelun Smith on August 10, 2015, 08:00:56 PM
I had a '75 Taka as a kid (14 to 16 years old) before graduating to bigger bikes and I'd like to find one for restoration.  I'm in Southern California but would consider a long distance purchase.  Please drop me a PM here.  Thanks!

Good luck,
Not a lot of Taka's around. Took a long time to get mine and it is my favorite little unrestored bike. Ride it to the mailbox and back, gravel lane or thru the field doesn't matter.

Thanks for the lead.  The condition of the engine scares me a little but I am watching this one.

Good Job,
I have one, it is the only bike I ride. Just offroad for safety. They sit and ride great. My favorite rider, not as pretty as the SR-100 racer I am building but sits and rides great.

I'm happy. It will compliment my garage of restored Chibi's. It needs little and is in above average condition. It was a great find. You have to pull the trigger quickly on these.

I plan to over-restore it next Spring after my current Chibi resto is complete.

Thanks
Kevin
