I'm assuming the bike runs smoothly with no ignition faults? You can probably pull both plugs now and get some indication of difference if any exists by comparing the color. Most accurate plug reading for top end is to start with fresh plugs and run them just a little. Then run the bike out on top end and shut it off without allowing the bike to return to idle.(If you turn your fuel supply off first, make sure you don't run the carbs dry before shutting off). Pull the plugs and look for a medium to light tan. In any case the plugs should look even. Same basic proceedure for low end,but don't run bike past 1/4 throttle, and for a short time(1-2 min.). Plugs will be in a darker, wetter stage, but should still look even. Compression check should be done with both plugs removed. Check one cylinder at a time. Any significant difference will indicate problem. I would opt to check compression and pipes before running the bike out. Access the manuals under the downloads section of this site for carb and throttle cable syncronization and adjustments. Hopefully, some of the guys with twins will chime in for you. Mark. (I tried to call you back, but number doesn't answer, you may contact me again with a number if you wish).
