2011 Mid-Ohio
« on: July 25, 2011, 03:01:06 PM »
The 2011 Mid-Ohio VMD brought out more Bridgestone's for sale than last year.

The weather was very hot and the asking prices were very high, while the
quality was low.

But it was a very good time and we did have people stop at the Bridgestone
Club tent and talk BS.

Here's another thread from another forum which pretty closely matches this report:
AMA Vintage Days - Mid-Ohio
http://www.vjmog.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=8040#46729

Seems to me the economy is having a big impact on these types of meets as vendors and everyone else is scrambling to figure it all out.
If you voted for "Change", it would seem we got it, BIG TIME!
Mostly unanticipated, IMO.

Yeah, I just heard about this Mid-Ohio VMD from a guy I turned down a sale on a 73 Kaw from in Louisville. We had a good conversation anyway and he talked me into goin to this event. He said they hold it every year. Haven't really looked into anything up north, being from Alabama, where we drink our tea with ice like you're supposed to. When and where do I go? That's a loaded question.  ;D Anyway any info would be appreciated.

I heard there were 20 acres of bikes and stuff last year. Mopar, do you plan to go this year with your beautiful collection?

Hey Bikenstein
Speaking of MotoTrials at OHIO - I won't be able to make that - however I am attending the first ever round of the World Trials Championship to be held in Central Victoria in May 2012.

I have always been a Trials fan having owned several TY175's a TY 250 Monoshock and a twinshock Italjet 350.

So any of you guys with few lazy $ - a good excuse for a trip to Oz.
