Posting tonight so I joined in here. This hub was sanded on my lathe then finished on the buffing and polishing wheels. For the more contoured parts I have had success with a multi tool (triangular ocillating sander) using 320 grit pads (from Sears), then hand sanding to a 1000 grit, then carefully using a rotary scotch brite pad. At this point I have an even haze, then it goes to the wheels.

Nice work on the polishing. I once did a set of rd400 wheels by hand. Took many many hours but the blisters were worth it!

Still, it's a bit of a downer knowing I have to go through it all again once I start the resto on my 350... :-\
