It gets better and better. I checked out the points today, and they're barely recognizable for the rust. When I pulled the condensers and log a peek at the generator windings I saw yet more rust, explaining why the shaft was quite frozen. The generator is a mess. Does anyone rebuild these, or do I just replace it outright? I'll need to communicate relative costs to the owner. I think by the time he's done with this custom dream of his (and my nightmare) he could have bought a cherry 350r.
Any leads on generator refurbishment (or replacement) for the 200cc engine would be greatly appreciated.
