Hello new Member in Oregon here..
« on: October 18, 2012, 01:40:00 PM »
Hi folks..I've decided to go ahead and take the plunge on a classic Bridgestone 175..my problem is that I can't find one!  :D

I'll obviously paroose the classifieds here, but wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My Dad bought a brand-new bike in 1969, I believe. It was a Red 175 and I got it running again in 1986 and really regret not holding onto it. The bike was a blast. I need to relive my youth, so please feel free to point me in the right direction if you have any leads.

I'm willing to pay retail for what I want. I have restored cars and own a couple of Classic Hondas..a 1970 Trail 90 and a '78 XL125. I've certainly learned that it is worth paying as much as I can for a bike that is complete as possible. Fully restored? Heck yes, point me in the right direction!

Thanks and happy motoring!

Brian

Welcome Brian,
You might have to search and wait a little bit, but you should be able to find a 175 in the condition you're happy to pay for before too long.
My dad still owns the 175DT he bought brand new, and I'm slowly repairing my 350 I bought as a teenager (the replacement pistons just arrived 30 minutes ago).  ;D
