You can get chrome metric bolts from Menards.  Jeff Bar

When you come to bolt up the 'U' clamps, notice that one leg is longer than the other. Put the longer legs to the front and fully tighten the bolts, then snug up the rear bolts to hold the bars securely.   Took me 45 years to learn this, I'm getting there ;D
Unspoiled by progress.
I'm so glad I grew up in the 60s & 70s. I did so much stupid stuff and there's no record of it.............Anywhere !!

Rather than chrome, why not use stainless bolts?

Here is what I do:
-draw file off the numbers/letters
-rub with 400 wet and dry and remove most marks
-use polishing wheel on buff to mirror polish.

I have made a threaded bar to hold bolt in as it can get very hot while polishing!

According to the parts manual, they're 36mm's in length.
