Factory tools.
« on: January 18, 2017, 12:36:34 PM »
Evening.
I've been offered a job lot of spares (350) quite a bit of which is new.I have to buy it all for the bits i can use, basically cylinders and gearbox,so the rest i'll sell off eventually.However..listed amongst the parts is the following:Set of factory tools in a box.

Has anyone seen such a box? I've a couple of bits kicking around..the clutch nut box spanner etc.. but did they actually sell a service tool set boxed? Cheers, Vince.

I've never seen a boxed set, just the blue plastic tool bags. If you plan on selling it, I'm your huckleberry!  ;D

The Parts Price List from March 1970 showed a 350 SP Tools Only set, 9300-9010, for $48.00 and a Service Tool set, 9201-9000, for $10.80. No way to know if they came in a box, but if your box has one of those part numbers on it, then the riddle is solved. ;D

   Vinny,
I would also be interested in any parts or tools you may have spare, I'm in the UK (near Blackpool). Got 3 bikes on the go. Bet you're as far away as it's possible to get here, Outer Hebrides ?, we all seem to be well separated. May be a good reason for that ! ;D :D ;D

I will do,Brian. It isn't something i'd usually get involved with, and i'm loathe to do so now,but it's the only way i have of getting spares sorted for the racebike.I know there is,new...a set of rear shocks..a GTR silencer(rh)..rubber set(carb tops)..clutch and carb cover..alloy BS rear number plate..bottom yoke shrouds..kickstarter shaft..headlight rim..chain adjusters etc along with plenty of second hand stuff.Obviously..it's only the engine stuff of interest to me..and i'll try to recoup as much as i can while keeping the spares "in house" so to speak.
Down the beautiful South..Swindon.

I'll keep any updates on here before Ebay etc.

Got some good friends from Reading now living in Poole and I use to work with a guy from Basingstoke. It's a small world!
