« on: November 17, 2008, 12:43:51 PM »
im sure a few of you have seen me on he yahoo groups page, and have seen my folly to date
on the mini buffalo... that chibi copy,

well heres a few pics

(excuse the moustache, its MOvember, and we arre all growing them at work for charity)

heres the strip down

and 1 buggered conrod and bearings

at this point in time i have managed to get rings for the piston, from a pa50 scooter(required a little trimming to the brass locating pin)
and a conrod from a ts50er (thats my best find so far...) well i hope it is,
i pick it up today, hopefully i am right and all the measurements are the same :D

now all i need is every bearing in the engine!!!   :(
mmm wee bike is costing me a fortune.

any way,  hello from new zealand

well i picked up the conrod today,

guess what...

its perfect :D wohoo,
so i can now confirm that a ts50er  conrod is exactly the same as the chibi copy one :D
joy :D

all bearings and oil seals have now been ordered,
next mission is going to be the crank pin, as thats buggered as well :(
all i gotta do is find a site that has dimensions so i can find  which one will fit
in place of mine :D

hey, yeah i did, thats where i managed to find the conrod,
unfortuatly i coulnt find a bearing that would fit the 17mm crank pin and the 22mm conrod
so i had to get a 18mm pin machined to fit the crank, and got a 18x22x13 bearing from sfk bearings
so all is good in the world,:D
i just have to make up a gasket for between the crank cases and then its re-assemble time :D
i just have 2 more cables to find (throttle and front brake)
and i have the illusive carb/ crank case cover on the way from the states for the princly sum of $32us
including postage :D
so hopefully in the next couple of days the wee beasty will be running
fun times,

im still debating weather i should get it painted, as i really like the "mini buffalo" graphics that are on it
retro cool :D

ill post some more pics in a couple of days
