Bridgestone Shadow Board

I have just been given a Bridgestone dealer workshop shadow board. It is complete with all hooks, clips, screws and nuts but only one tool. If anyone has any spare tools for the board then I would be most appreciative. I would also like to know for what each tool was intended. I have a 2 owner (including me) 1968 90 Deluxe.

If you take a good quality picture and make it available folks could take it to their local sign shop and have a digital decal made and mount it on aluminum.
If it would help you could send me a picture of it and I could trace it using Adobe Illustrator and make that copy available on the site.
You would need to post the dimension of the board also, you would have to find your own hooks tho.

Just an Ideal... Let me know.

Have you gotten any feedback on what each tool is used for.? I have purchased some tools and have no idea what they are for. Just wanted to have them since these are rare items, I just recently purchased the timing bar and timing nut. Paid too much for it but this is only the second time I've seen them on ebay. I wasn't going to "procrastinate" this time and let it get away.!!  Have a GREAT day...... Tim

OK,

Tool identification - here goes.

First, the left hand side of the board, top row:-

Top crown nut spanner - fits all models from 90 upwards.
Circlip pliers - general purpose, but used on the 50 Sport clutch and 50 Homer clutch ??
Feeler guage - used in setting up the 50 Homer auto clutch.
Telescopic fork leg fitting tool - all models (used for drawing leg up into the top crown). A wheel spindle works just as well here


Now lower left hand side, reading downwards:-

Exhaust nut ring spanner - 50 Sport, 60 Sport, possibly 90 Sport and 90 deluxe.
Steering race adjuster spanner - all models (I think)
Flywheel holder used for all flywheel magnetos.



Extreme right hand side, reading downwrds,

Sprocket stopper - all 50, 60 and 90cc models
Clutch drum stopper - 175
Flywheel puller - 90 models
Flywheel puller - 50 Sport



Second row from right, reading downwards,

Piston seat -  50, 60  90 100, 175 and 200 models.and 175 models.
Piston pin driver - early 50 and 90 models
Cluitch compressor tool - 50 Homer clutch
Crank nut spanner - early 50 Sport and 90 models.

That only leaves the small mystery rectangular shadow in the centre of the board. My only guess is an oil seal driver?

Hi,

This is what goes into the rectangular shadow. I am sure I read somewhere that is was for checking carb float levels, but for the life of me I can not find anything to confirm that now. Will keep looking.

That's an easy one, Ray - the mystery part is a carb slide guage for the 175.

It fits on top of the slide between it and the carb top allowing you to set the throttle stop screw at the right position. Repeat the job on the other carb and you've got the slides balanced at tick-over (in theory, at least. I do it by ear with the engine running, listening to the exhaust pulses).

I wasn't too sure about the tool I described as a BS50 Homer Clutch Compresor, so I went away and checked in the factory ervice Manuals. The tool is actually a general purpose claw puller. It's hown in teh Bridgestone "7" manual being used to pull main bearings from the crank mainshaft, and also to pull the generator rotor off the crank end on the BS  "7" deluxe.

Mystery solved!
