your troubles are over now.....   ;D

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bridgestone-Rockford-350cc-Motorcycle-Crankshaft-Part-1301-9000-NEW-NOS-/161599151954?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item25a00f5f52&vxp=mtr#ht_78wt_923

Ha ha, seen this already but I'm sorted now and found someone that will rebuild mine for far less than that will eventually go for.

Sye,

SEP of Kegworth rebuilt the crank from my GTO and did an excellent job. Their no is 01509 673295. They did this just before Ray and Richard had organised the pattern conrod kits and as mine had been damaged, SEP sourced replacements from a different bike and did the necessary machining work to suit the piston pin. I've used them on and off for many years and they're good guys.

Steve

Thanks Steve, I contacted them and they can do it too. I now have a choice of 2 engineers and think I will go with SEP. They said that the condition didn't matter as they can machine anything that needs doing and rebuild it within spec no problem.  ;D
Be nice - feel good

Sye, don't forget that the main bearings are non-standard sizes. The inners are 30 x 64 x 16, theouters 25 x 64 x 17 (original outer is made by HIC, type DG2564N-9, inner make and type unknown at present). Fortunately they are still available from Richard, but for how much longer? This could become a serious problem, so far I haven't found a replacement for either.

I guess I should not be surprised by the price, but gulp!! The cost of my hobby is escalating!

Oh, I don't know, Bert..... better spend your money on a new GTR crankshaft than on fags, booze and wicked women (though one might argue about wicked women).

Gerrit, don't get me wrong. I am committed (or should be...;-)
I gave up the fags years ago, will never give up the booze (wine in my case...occasional scotch), and in reverence of Valentines Day, I have been married for 40 years to Saint Mary Anne who somehow tolerates all my transgressions (Bridgestones included). Yep I count my self lucky!
Best wishes to everyone's ladies for Saint Valentine's.

I echo your Best Wishes Bert, 42 years clocked up in my case.   Wine, Wild Women and song, yes I remember those, vaguely. !! :D ;D :D

Same company has a 175/200 crank for sale as well, will post a link in 175/200 Talk.
