Anybody Else Miss This One?
« on: January 18, 2017, 12:45:26 PM »
Just found it doing a "Rockford Motors" search, but missed it at the time probably due to the "Toro" misspelling in the listing title....

I went to the Barrett Jackson auction Wednesday. Fun, but depressing with limited funds.
Anyway, there was a 1959 outboard motor there that had never even been prepped for sale, never run.
Some guy from Indiana owned it for 60 years and it was found in his bedroom closet wrapped in a blanket.
Lots of good that did him at the estate sale.

That is amazing! Smokey you are so right about auctions being depressing at times because of limited funds. The pic is of an auction at Sport Wheels in Jordan MN in 2000.  I bought 3 A7 Kaws for $750 total but with a bigger bank roll could have came home with a large truck load. So many bargains that day. There was a CBX still in the crate. Coolest bike there was a Crocker. Don't remember if there were any Bridgestones there.
